UGA’s oldest musical organization, the Men’s Glee Club is home to first and second-year music majors/minors and to students from throughout the university in all years of study. The ensemble performs a wide variety of musical styles - from classical TTBB repertoire to pop music - and performs in up to three public concerts each semester. The 12-16 voice MGC Varsity Singers is a select a cappella subset of the Glee Club that performs lighter repertoire on Glee Club concerts and for other special occasions around campus. The Men’s Glee Club is geared for singers of all levels of experience, from beginning to advanced, and welcomes new members at the beginning of each semester.
Fall 2014 choir placements hearings will begin for all choirs on Thursday, August 14. In addition to expressing your interest in a choir via the UGA Choirs website, students should sign-up for a brief placement hearing on the choral suite door in the Hugh Hodgson School of a Music starting on August 11th.
