Dr. Dorothea Link, Professor of Musicology, and University of Georgia Foundation Professor in the Arts, 2012-2015, received her PhD from the University of Toronto in 1991. Before joining the Hugh Hodgson School of Music in 2000, she taught at numerous universities in Canada and the United States, worked as an editor at the New Grove Dictionary of Music in London, and held research grants in Vienna. Her research concentrates on Viennese opera during the 1780s, in particular Mozart’s singers, and embraces performance practice, historical editions, musical source studies, and musical biography. She teaches courses in eighteenth-century music, the history of opera, and bibliography and research techniques.
