After a great (and sold-out) night last night, holiday festivities continue tonight with the second night of the Holiday Concert in Hodgson Hall at 8 pm.

The Faculty Recital Series continues tonight at 8 pm in Ramsey Concert hall, when professor of clarinet D. Ray McClellan will be joined by two very special guest artists.

On Monday, D. Ray McClellan, clarinet faculty member at the University of Georgia, will share the stage with friends - good friends - during his performance for the faculty recital series in Ramsey Hall at the UGA Performing Arts Center.

The UGA Wind Ensemble presents Across the Pond - classic and new British band repertoire - tonight at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall.

The concert features guest conductor Tim Reynish and guest soloist Brandon Craswell, performing Elegy for Miles Davis, in memory of long time HHSOM professor and trumpet great Fred Mills. This concert is free and open to the public.

The UGA Opera Ensemble's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "H.M.S Pinafore" continues with an encore presentation tonight at Hodgson Concert Hall at 8 p.m. Tickets for the concert, reviews of which have been stellar, are $15/$5 for students.

And don't forget about two special concerts this Sunday in the Athens area, one each by the  UGA African American Choral Ensemble and the Collegium Musicum.

The UGA Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Mark Cedel, will perform tonight at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Tonight's concert features guest conductor Tim Reynish, currently artist-in-residence at the Hodgson School of Music, and guest soloist Milton Masciadri, double bass.

Don't miss Classic City Jazz tonight at 8 pm at the UGA Chapel on North Campus. The vocal and instrumental combo will performs favorite jazz standards including music by Oliver Nelson, Bill Evans/Miles Davis, Weather Report and more.

Free and open to the public.

UGACA vocal ensemble took part in the Navy School Final Graduation and Closing Ceremony on Oct. 28th. "It was a moving and monumental experience for the Navy and the city of Athens as the school closes and relocates to Newport," said Mitos Andaya, Associate Choral Director in the Hodgson School of Music.


The Hodgson School of Music welcomes UGA Parents and Families this weekend, Oct. 22-24.

As a part of the events planned across campus, the school of music will offer three free mini-concerts, as well as public tours of the building.
