Assists the Dean of Franklin College and Senior Director of Development of Franklin College with planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program through Major Gift cultivation. Serves in a liaison role that supports all Performing Arts development in the Franklin College including Dance, Music, and Theater& Film with an expanded portfolio that includes Franklin Institutes. A primary focus is managing a portfolio of individual major gift prospects to create long term support for students, programs, faculty, facilities, and priorities in the High Hodgson School of Music.

Assists the Senior and Associate Directors of Development of Franklin College with planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program specifically for the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Assists the Assistant Director of Annual Giving of Franklin College to provide an adaptive and responsive annual giving program for the School of Music.  

Responsibilities include, but is not limited to, growing philanthropic support from individuals, strategizing and managing acknowledgements for all donations, coordinating events such as director’s circle dinners, overseeing the scholarship and awards nomination process, strategizing annual giving initiatives, working with all school of music areas and donors to advance philanthropic support from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support students, programs, faculty, facilities, and director priorities. Furthermore, in collaboration with Public Relations, responsibilities also include developing strategies for development communication and outreach with stakeholders, donors, and alumni.

Develops strategies of communication and outreach as they relate to School of Music development with the Associate Director of Development, HHSOM Development Associate, and the School of Music Director. This includes, but is not limited to, developing materials that inspire and support audience and donor engagement, highlighting successes in fundraising and major gift donations, and sharing the stories of our donors and alumni to better keep everyone informed about the growth and success of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Additionally responsible for creating and maintaining all marketing materials and strategies for building performance audience attendance and supporting and developing recruitment strategy with the HHSOM Director of Admissions.
