Adult Classes

CMS offers a variety of classes for adults interested in honing their abilities on a musical instrument.  Registration deadlines are always about 2 weeks before the first class and continuation is always based on meeting minimum enrollment.  Refunds will not be granted once the class is confirmed.

If you or another member of your immediate family (child or adult) are enrolled in private lessons in the same semester, you'll receive a $40 savings on tuition for any Adult class on this page!  You'll see an option to let us know this in the registration process.

As part of your class registration you can also choose to pay extra to receive one ($30) or two ($60) 30-minute private lessons to go along with the class.  The lessons will be scheduled at mutually convenient times between teacher and student. These are an excellent chance to ask specific questions about concepts covered in class, or to go further in-depth with personal technical or musical skills.  These lessons can also be added at anytime during the class semester.

Lessons for Adults of ALL ages:
CMS offers one-on-one lessons to adults of all ages and abilities on piano, strings, brass, percussion, guitar, folk instruments (banjo, ukelele), and voice. Are you in a band? Do you have song ideas rattling around that could use some professional help, or just need some help with some basic technique? CMS offers lessons in songwriting and non-classical music styles as well. Some instruments have the option of graduate vs. professional instructors. While the registration system looks like you have to register for a full semester, we are more than happy to accommodate a much more flexible and occasional schedule for adult students.
