HHSOM Ambassador

Manya Das (she/her) is a second-year undergraduate student at UGA pursuing a double major in AB Music and Business. She grew up in Marietta, GA, and graduated from Campbell High School. She has won awards such as the Woody Herman Jazz Award, John Philip Sousa Award, and the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence, issued by the US Marines Youth Foundation. In the Summer of 2025, she traveled to Europe with the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony and performed at esteemed venues in Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna.
At the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, she has performed in the Wind Ensemble & Wind Symphony, and she plays tenor in her saxophone quartet, JAMM. Last spring, she was invited to D.C. as an Equity Arc Wind Symphony Fellow, where she had the opportunity to perform with retired members of the U.S. Military Bands. Outside of school, she enjoys dance, karaoke, drawing, and reading.
