From Marietta, Georgia, Yash Mahadkar is a third-year Honors Music Education Student studying clarinet under Dr. Ray McClellan. Throughout his time at UGA, Yash has been involved with the Wind Ensemble, various chamber ensembles, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Redcoat Marching Band where he currently serves as Drum Major. Beyond his studies, he serves as a marching band technician for various programs in the Athens and Greater Atlanta areas, teaches private conducting lessons, works for the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, and serves as a Drum Major for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. Yash is honored and excited to represent the students of the Hugh Hodgson School of music as a student ambassador.
