The Kenneth Fischer Saxophone Quartet

Founded in 1988, the Kenneth Fischer Saxophone Quartet is a resident faculty ensemble at the University of Georgia Hodgson School of Music. The quartet maintains an active performance schedule, performing community outreach and championing new works for saxophone quartet.  The ensemble’s repertoire includes various styles of music, from transcriptions to avant-garde to jazz.  Time-and-again, the quartet has been called upon to represent UGA at meetings of the World Saxophone Congress and the North American Saxophone Alliance.



The members of the Kenneth Fischer Saxophone Quartet is comprised of Hodgson School graduate students, and is named in memory of longtime saxohpone professor Kenneth Fischer.
