Athens Music Project presents symposium

The Athens Music Project, a Willson Center Faculty Research Cluster co-directed by HHSOM professor Susan Thomas and Jean Kidula, will present a symposium on Thursday, April 17 at the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Libraries Auditorium. The event is co-sponsored by the Athens Music Project, the Willson Center, and the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music.

  • 4:40 PANEL – Music in Early Athens featuring HHSOM personnel Kevin Kelly, Stephanie Tingler, and graduate student Mary Helen Hoque
  • 6:00  KEYNOTE – How Art Turned Into Music: The "Athens Music Scene" featuring Michael Lachowski
  • 7:00  ROUNDTABLE – Hearing the Past & Seeing the Future: The 40 Watt featuring Barrie Buck, Velena Vego, and Michael Lachowski
