Musicology

The Master of Arts (MA) degree provides the student with the knowledge and research experience to pursue the PhD.  The MA affords adequate preparation to teach music appreciation, music history and introduction to world music at two-year colleges and to work in music editing and publishing fields.  It is also the degree that is generally required for a career as a music librarian.
