Dr. Cynthia Johnston Turner named UGA Director of Bands

Dr. Cynthia Johnston Turner has accepted an appointment as Director of Bands at the University of Georgia beginning in Fall Semester 2014. Dr. Johnston Turner is currently Director of Wind Ensembles at Cornell University. Further biographical information is available at the Cornell Department of Music website.
Dr. Johnston Turner follows Dr. John P. Lynch, who who will depart UGA this summer for a position as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Ensemble.
