American Musicological Society awards HHSOM grad

Congratulations to Hodgson School alumnus David Chapman, who was the recipient of the Paul Prisk Prize at the most recent annual meeting of the American Musicological Society.Chapman, who completed his Master's in Musicology in 2006, recent finished his PhD work at Washington University in St. Louis and is now an Assistant Professor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

UGA student finalist in Marine Band auditions

Junior music performance major Gabriel Pique advanced at "The President's Own" United States Marine Band saxophone auditions this past December. Pique, a student of Hodgson School professor Connie Frigo, was one of four finalists for the position, out of the 68 saxophonists who auditioned.Pique can be heard at the UGA Wind Ensemble's upcoming Concerto Competition concert on April 16, 2014.
