School of Music alum wins position with United States Air Force Band

Nikki Hill (MM '11) is the latest graduate of the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music to earn a spot in a prestigious US military band: the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. 

“Nikki is a highly talented and motivated clarinetist with a beautiful sound, solid technique and an innate musicality," said D. Ray McClellan, professor of clarinet. "She worked very hard to make significant strides in her playing while at UGA and she continued to push herself to higher levels beyond graduation. It is a significant achievement to win this highly competitive audition.”
