Lily Kate Akins (she/her) is a fourth-year music student originally from Brunswick, Georgia. She is currently pursuing a double major in music (AB) and sociology with a minor in studio art. Lily Kate has participated in many of the school of music’s ensembles and organizations, including the UGA Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Redcoat Marching Band, University Chorus, Clarinet Choir and Recording Practicum. Outside of music, Lily Kate is involved in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, Morehead Honors College, and works as the co-photo editor for The Red & Black. As an ambassador, Lily Kate hopes to represent students who want to pursue other passions and interests alongside music.
