After years of maintaining only the highest musical standards, the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble has earned an international reputation for its artistry.
As one of the large wind bands at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, the UGA Concert Band has performed extensively throughout the Southeast, including concerts at regional conferences of the College Band Directors National Association and the annual Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conferences.
The Concert Winds is an auditioned Spring Semester ensemble made up of UGA’s most talented non-music majors.
Known for its appearances at University of Georgia football games, the Redcoat Marching Band was founded 1905 as a section of the UGA Military Department.

Rote Hund Muzik is a graduate student contemporary music ensemble consisting of 5-13 graduate students. Typically, in the fall semester, Dr. Cynthia Johnston Turner coaches and conducts masterworks (Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire and Steve Reich’s Double Sextet, most recently).
