Please submit the following materials:

  1. A Statement of Purpose which describes your philosophy of music therapy, including clinical practice, career aspirations, and commitment to diversity as well as your reason for seeking a master’s degree and goals for growth over the course of your graduate education.
  2. Audition video of a music therapy session which demonstrates your clinical skills as well as vocal, piano, and guitar proficiency. Please include a consent form to verify that the video was obtained with permission from the clients or their legal guardian. If this is not possible, you may submit a video that demonstrates functional music skills and with narrative of how the presented material would be used in a clinical setting.
  3. Three letters of recommendation which address your clinical, professional, and academic abilities. If you have less than one year of professional practice, one letter must be from your internship supervisor.

Additional Requirements:

Each applicant will be asked to schedule an interview with members of the Music Therapy Faculty. This may be conducted in-person or via a video conference platform. A faculty member will contact you regarding this requirement once all materials have been submitted and reviewed by the faculty members in Accept’d.
