The Hugh Hodgson School of Music Opera Theatre program will be taking the Hodgson Hall stage for a weekend of performances of Wargo’s “A Visit to the Country” and Walton’s “The Bear.” Opening night is Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on Nov. 14 at 3 p.m.

Under direction of Phil Smith, The UGA British Brass Band will be featuring music by outstanding composer, James Curnow on Friday, November 5th at 7:30 in Hodgson Hall.

The Hugh Hodgson School of Music Faculty Artist Series continues with piano aficionado and resident accompanist Damon Denton performing Nov. 9 at 7:30 pm in Ramsey Hall as part of the Spotlight on the Arts Festival.

James Weidman will be featured in a solo/duo piano recital featuring special guests Gregory Broughton and David D’Angelo on Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:30 in Ramsey Hall. The musical selections will include Weidman’s compositions along with music by jazz composers John Lewis and John Coltrane.
