Hartenberger recital to feature Stravinsky, Barber and Copland

The University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music will present a faculty series concert by Jaclyn Hartenberger, assistant professor of music, conductor and associate director of bands, on Nov. 13 in the Ramsey Concert Hall at 8 p.m.


Jazz ensembles concert to include Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, faculty trumpet soloist

The UGA jazz ensembles will take the stage for their annual fall concert in Ramsey Concert Hall on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. The performance will feature jazz, swing and Latin pieces from yesterday and today, as well as a faculty soloist on trumpet.


U.S. Army Brass Quintet on campus Tuesday

The U.S. Army Brass Quintet will be at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music on Tuesday, Oct. 31, performing in Edge Hall starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Q&A session with the audience. This event is free.

The University of Georgia will celebrate its myriad offerings in the visual, literary and performing arts this November during the sixth annual Spotlight on the Arts festival, which features nearly 100 events and exhibitions over 12 days.
