UGA Symphony performs Carnival of the Animals

Join us on Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m. as the UGA Symphony Orchestra performs The Carnival of the Animals, a Suite by Camille Saint-Saëns, live from Hodgson Hall.



The Carnival of the Animals is a humorous musical suite of fourteen movements by the French romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The work was written for private performance by an ad hoc ensemble of two pianos and other instruments.

Soloists on the program include Assistant Professor of Piano Pedagogy and Class Piano Coordinator, Grace Huang, and the Despy Karlas Professor of Piano and Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies, Martha Thomas. Narration for the performance will be by Mark Mobley, ACES Co-director.
