The University of Georgia’s flagship choral ensemble, the Hodgson Singers, will present a concert reflecting on life’s “seasons and sentiments” on Tuesday, November 6th.

To celebrate the opening of the Spotlight on the Arts festival, UGA’s arts programs present an hour-long kaleidoscope of student performances and presentations on Thursday, November 1st at 7:30 in Hodgson Hall.

Presented by the UGA Arts Council, the seventh annual Spotlight on the Arts festival features dozens of events and exhibitions in the visual, literary and performing arts. The 11-day festival, scheduled for Nov.

The Hugh Hodgson School of Music will be hosting international guest artists Philippe Geiss, saxophone, and Marija Aupy, piano, from France, appearing together as the dynamic Duo Ostinato. The concert will take place in Edge Hall on Wednesday, October 31 at 6pm.

 

University of Georgia DMA student Gonzalo Arias Contreras won the silver medal at the Florida Guitar Festival and Competition held in Tallahassee, Florida annually in October.
