Kenneth Holmqvist is a professor at North-West University, South Africa, at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic and is currently a guest professor at Regensburg University, Germany. Holmqvist has worked with eye-movement research since 1995.

When two of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s premiere large ensembles join forces, it is sure to be an evening to remember. The Hodgson Wind Ensemble (HWE) and the UGA Symphony Orchestra (UGASO) will take the Hodgson Hall stage at 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 27th.

 

David Starkweather, UGA professor of cello, will perform a recital on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Ramsey Hall at the UGA Performing Arts Center.  Admission is free.

This season’s Faculty Artist Series begins with Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor of Horn Dr. Jean Martin-Williams, who is also an Associate Dean in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th in Ramsey Hall. Joining Dr.

The Hodgson Wind Ensemble’s (HWE) will perform their first concert of the 2018-2019 season on Tuesday, September 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall.
