The UGA Faculty Recital Series will kick off the new year with an evening of music from around the globe performed by pianist Damon Denton. Denton has been on the Hugh Hodgson School of Music Piano faculty as a resident accompanist since 2010.

Audience members are in for a treat as six of Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s most talented students perform solos with the UGA Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, February 1st at 7:30 p.m.

Michael Heald and Liza Stepanova, both professors in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, join forces to bring us an evening of music by Mozart, Clara Schumann, and Robert Schumann. Heald also shall be giving the world première of a new work for solo violin by Dr.

Chris Martin, principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic, will perform a solo recital in Ramsey Concert Hall on Thursday, February 1, at 6 p.m. He will also give a master class in Edge Hall on Wednesday January 31, at 1:25 p.m.  

Three of the School of Music’s faculty members, along with a guest artist, will come together on Friday, January 26th at 8 pm in Ramsey Concert Hall for an evening of Brahms. D.
