Music Recording Practicum

Audio techniques, technologies, and critical listening will be applied towards recording, mixing, editing, and mastering live and archived recordings for the UGA HHSOM. Working in a professional studio environment equips students with skills needed to succeed in audio recording, while also empowering them in their performance, teaching, and research endeavors.

Electronic music composition techniques, focusing on interactive systems, live electronic music, and multimedia applications, and current trends in music utilizing interactive technologies. Semester also includes recording studio workshops.

Trends in special education, characteristics and needs of those classified as exceptional, curriculum development, and intervention strategies. Mainstreamed and self-contained settings will be discussed.

Music Skills for Therapists

Skill development in voice and on social instruments for use in the therapeutic treatment of various age groups. Includes improvisation, transposition, and self-accompanied performance of a variety of repertoire.
